bring on the magic

Books and occasional random things.

Tired of wading through poorly written paranormal fiction? Well, so am I. Anyway I have done the work for you here.
Peter and Helen Radley are a pleasant couple with two (seemingly) normal teenaged children, living their tediously normal lives in Bishopthorpe, Yorkshire; where no one is aware that they are vampires. Not even their children, who share the same malady. When fifteen-year-old Clara turns vegan, you KNOW it’s not going to come out well….and when the angsty anaemic adolescent takes a bite out of a drunken boy at a party, the secret’s out.
The Radleys is a wonderful mix of the dark and the quirky and the hilarious; and it’s all brilliantly written. I really can’t wait to read more of Matt Haig’s work. (image thebookcellarx.com)
